What your brand of beer says about you.

There’s been a lot of talk about what the beer you drink says about you. I think this is time well spent. As if we need yet another way to categorize and pigeonhole people. OK, in for a penny, in for a pound.

If you drink Bud Light, you are the President of the United States. Congratulations. If you drink Blue Moon, you are a police officer or really like the song of the same name. If you drink Red Stripe, you are a Harvard professor. If you drink Budwiser, you are a fan of NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne. [I don’t care if you don’t like NASCAR. We have 24 hours news and need to talk about stupid ways to classify people. We have time to fill, people. Work with me!] If you drink Bud Light with Lime, you are not only not the President, you are a Stephen Colbert fan. If you drink Coors, you are a fan of the 70’s movie Smokey and the Bandit. If you drink non-alcoholic beer, you’re still a person but you can pass through solid objects.

I don’t like beer. Therefore, I do not exist.

iPhone tumble app

I can see the convenience of posting from my phone. I just can’t see me doing my longer posts with this keyboard. iPhones are more for SMS and Twitter than extended tumbling or writing the great American novel.

Someone told me once that serving in elected office was one of the most noble thing one could do with their lives. I no more believe that than I believe Santa Claus is going to bring me a phaser and tricorder for Christmas this year.

However, since politicians really like to spend money and they really like themselves (how else could they look back at what they did last term and decide they deserve to be reelected???), they should build a monument to themselves. I think it should be placed in the center of Washington D.C. and be made out of bronze. I’m sure they’ll find a way to pay more per ounce for the bronze than we pay for ink jet printer ink.

I have included a picture of what I think the monument should look like and I even came up with a name…..POLITICIANS IN THEIR NATURAL STATE

Picnic in the park
woke up to a buzzing phone on my dresser.  turns out it was a good thing because i got invited to have a picnic in the park with my buddehs.  as the summer before i start college, this one has been an interesting one.  it’s been full of new things and plenty of surprises.  the friends that i have managed to keep, are some of the best people that i could ever hope for.  they are my adventure buddehs and i can’t wait to go sit in a park like an 8 year old and play on the playground and have a picnic.

I have a better idea.

Instead of $4500 cash for clunkers, how about $4500 cash for whatever the hell I actually need. You can just stop taking taxes until it equals $4500, thus making distribution easier. Or would that be too simple?

Gandalf: [to Pippin] Now, listen carefully. Lord Denethor is Boromir’s father. To give him news of his beloved son’s death would be most unwise. And do not mention Frodo, or the Ring. And say nothing of Aragorn either. In fact, it’s better if you don’t speak at all, Peregrin Took.

President Obama: [to Vice President Joe Biden] Now, listen carefully. Gates and Crowley are national news right now. To give the media a new Bidenism would be most unwise. And do not mention healthcare, or cap and trade. And say nothing of the stimulus either. In fact, it’s better if you don’t speak at all, Joe.

— Just for fun but I can really see that conversation happening.
